Welcome!
For as long as a few of us can remember volleyball has been a waxing and waning sport consisting of grassroot athletes who - if they bust their tails off - may make a few dollars in another country or on the sand in partially inclement weather. As far as we're concerned, that's fine.
This meant our idols and star athletes would still shake our hand at pro events and were most likely still scratching as hard as we were on the glass of fame and prosperity - which really gave them a nice homey quality. You could walk up and have a regular conversation with 99% of them and not be gawking at some asteroid sized diamond earring or their Patek Philippe Platinum World Time Watch while they were prancing off to San Tropez behind a rope line of bodyguards and yes-men.
What's not fine is that any volleyball clothing brand that hung around long enough was bought up by a discount conglomerate or some fancy clothing line and driven into obscurity, failure, or worse. This wiped out a source of identity for all the fledging and not-so-fledgling volleyballers out there. All of us 18 panel addicts had to go Underground to source gear that reflected our interest in the game.
No more.
Welcome to the Underground. We're small. We're agile. We can touch 11'2 on a good day. We have a little clothing line starting up. Support us and we'll support you right back. Go read our pledge for the real deal, Barney.
